TikTok is experiencing some issues, much to the dismay of its users.

The TikTok social video app is having some issues, with DownDetector showing a spike in outages starting at 1:00 p.m. PT on Tuesday. Most of the users report having problems watching videos, while others are unable to log in or download content. The app is also having issues when it comes to liking videos and seeing comments. TikTok did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

As is almost always the case, heartbroken users have taken Twitter bemoan the breakdown with memes.

“My TikTok is down and I don’t know what to do now,” one user wrote.

Another user noted that TikTok’s algorithm (which usually contains precise content recommendations) suffers from the crash as well. The app’s For You page, which features content it thinks users will appreciate, apparently didn’t live up to its name. “The scariest thing about TikTok being down is that it gave me a generic FYP,” they wrote.

“I saw Charli [D’Amelio] on my fy page and I ran Twitter to see if TikTok was down because my algorithm was completely messed up, “another user joked.

“I swore my wifi thinking that was the reason TikTok wasn’t working,” one tweet read.

One user was struggling to cope without the usual screen time. “Minute 15: TikTok is down and another human has made eye contact with me for the first time in 2 years. I don’t know how long I’ll last,” they tweeted.

“When TikTok isn’t working and I have to talk to other people on my phone,” someone wrote alongside an unimpressed Steve Harvey meme on his phone.

Another user dreamed of what the world would be like without the distraction of TikTok. “Where we would be if TikTok was down 24/7,” they said, accompanied by a picture of a futuristic metropolis.

As someone put it succinctly, “How am I supposed to waste my afternoon if I can’t scroll through TikTok?”

One word: Twitter. For the moment.
