Sorry folks: at this point, a Xiaomi Mi Note 11 seems very unlikely.
When the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 launched at the end of 2019, it made it to our list of best smartphones, but since then we haven’t heard a glance of the sporadically dusted Note line of Xiaomi Mi phones.
So we lost hope that a Mi Note 11 would come out, especially because with the Xiaomi 12, it’s clear that the company has moved on from its 11th generation (and the Mi in its names too).
That’s not to say we’ll never see a new Xiaomi Note phone, as the company doesn’t release them every year, and the Note 10 was a big surprise. So maybe we’ll see a Note 12 or 13, but that’s just speculation.
We used to use this Xiaomi Mi Note 11 page to list rumors and speculation we heard about the device – a few details leaked in 2020 and 2021 – but, as the phone doesn’t almost certainly won’t show at this point, we won’t add anything else.

Xiaomi Mi Note 11 release date and price
The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 was launched in November 2019 – 2020 and 2021 have come and gone without Mi Note 11. There is no indication when it will be released, or even if it will be released at all.
As for the price, the Mi Note 10 costs £459 / AU$888 (about $590) for its most affordable variant, so it’s possible the Mi Note 11 could cost the same or maybe a bit more.
That said, the Xiaomi Mi 10 was a bit more expensive than the Mi 9. It’s possible the company will replicate that jump in the Mi Note range, but we hope not, as the low price was the real strength of the Mi Note 10. .
Xiaomi Mi Note 11 leaks and rumors
We have heard a big rumor about the Xiaomi Mi CC11, which will likely be released as Mi Note 11 outside of China. Apparently, it will have a 90Hz display, 64MP main camera, 67W charging, and a Snapdragon 778 or 780 chipset.
Additionally, there would be a Pro model, with the Snapdragon 870 chipset and a 5x zoom periscope sensor.
Other than that, we haven’t heard a single Xiaomi Mi Note 11 rumor or leak yet. However, we’ve heard of various new Xiaomi technologies that weren’t tied to a named smartphone, so they could debut in the Mi Note 11 – that’s just speculation, though.
For example, Xiaomi has patented an under-screen camera for the front-facing snapper, a technology that would allow a phone to have an all-screen front with no moving parts or novelty gimmicks to ensure there was always a front-facing camera. Gadgets like, for example, this another Xiaomi patent which shows a phone that twists in half to take selfies.
We’re expecting a midrange chipset in the Xiaomi Mi Note 11, and the company is reportedly working on one. smartphone with a Dimensity 1000 Plus processor from MediaTek. This would make the phone 5G compatible and also allow for a 144Hz refresh rate display. That said, Xiaomi has also apparently considered using Samsung’s Exynos chipsets in his phones too.
In terms of camera capabilities, it seems Xiaomi is working on a phone with a 108MP camera and huge 120x digital zoom, presumably via a separate telephoto lens, which would blow all competitors out of the water in terms of numbers.
We have heard Xiaomi is working on a new cheap phone with 108MP main sensor, which could be a Redmi phone (possibly the Redmi Note 10) but also the Mi Note 11.
Since this super powerful camera phone is supposed to be a Mi CC phone, it could also be the Mi Note 11 (because the Mi Note 10 was known as the Mi CC 9 Pro in China).
Finally we heard Xiaomi is working on a 120W charger which would power a phone in minutes. The Xiaomi Mi Note 11 might not be the phone it debuts in, as that phone is set to be mid-range and that’s a decidedly premium feature, but the Mi Note 10 was the first Xiaomi phone with a 108MP camera, so it’s possible.
Xiaomi Mi Note 11: what we want to see
These are all the features and specs we want the Xiaomi Mi Note 11 to come with.
1. An improved “main” telephoto lens
The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 had five rear cameras, but only three were really impressive or useful. One in the wrong pile was the 8MP telephoto snapper. In theory it was useful, with 5x optical zoom, but because of the low resolution sensor the images looked a bit blurry and you could get better images by taking 108MP shots and cropping them manually.
We’d like to see the Mi Note 11 pack a better sensor with its telephoto lens or periscope for zoomed shots, so there was a reason to reduce the camera distance.
2. A battery that lasts longer
Xiaomi Mi phones generally have good battery life, but rarely are we as impressed with their battery life as we are handsets from another Xiaomi brand, Redmi. Mi phones will last a day, fine, but you’ll struggle to operate them for a second day – or even a full day if you push the camera to its limits.
We’d like the Xiaomi Mi Note 11 to last longer without needing to be recharged, either with a better battery or – perhaps a better option – with some software optimizations meaning it drains power more slowly.
3. An improved chipset
The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 didn’t have a high-end processor – instead it used a mid-range Snapdragon 730. It was a decision we initially found rather curious, but after using the phone we didn’t notice the lack of processing too much power.
The Mi Note 11 needs an improved processor, but in one key respect – the 730 struggled quite a bit to take and process 108MP images, and if the new phone is set to retain or improve on that snapper, it needs to handle images better.
Qualcomm (which makes the Snapdragon chipsets) has since launched the 765G which is a great processor for gaming and long battery life and is also 5G compatible so this would be an obvious choice but there are others that would work too.
4. A small price
The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 had impressive specs, but it also had one thing that handsets with similar features didn’t – a low price.
Xiaomi is known for making affordable phones, and the Mi Note 10 was certainly one of them, but the Mi 10 series that was launched later probably wasn’t, because the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro costs twice as much. than the Mi Note 10. Clearly, Xiaomi realized that it could also offer expensive phones.
We’d like the Mi Note 11 to remain affordable though, without having an inflated price tag like the Mi 10, as that would keep it extremely competitive against many rivals and give more people the chance to experience what’s likely to be an impressive phone call.
5. Faster Charging Capabilities
Xiaomi phones generally have fast charging speeds, perhaps some of the best available, but every year the best charging technology available is getting faster and faster. We’d like the Xiaomi Mi Note 11 to stay one step ahead.
While the Mi Note 10 had 30W charging, which is already faster than many competitors, perhaps Xiaomi could bump the Note 11 up to 50W or even 65W to really trump its rivals. Xiaomi has already introduced 100W fast charging technology, so that’s not too unreasonable either.
