Tua Tagovailoa takes over from Dolphins after Jacoby Brissett injury, helps Miami win

MIAMI – Although he didn’t start Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens, dolphins strategist Tua Tagovailoa entered the game in relief from Jacoby Brissett midway through the third quarter of Miami 22-10 win.

During the Dolphins’ opening practice in the second half, Brissett took a sack on the third down and needed medical attention after the game. He was able to leave the field on his own but did not return for. the training of the Dolphins that followed.

Brissett was deemed doubtful to come back with a knee injury, but never did. He was 11 for 23 passes for 156 yards with a 70.2 quarterback rating, adding a rush for 4 yards, to help Miami take a 6-3 lead as it left.

Tagovailoa did not start Thursday due to a broken middle finger on his pitching hand. He went 8-for-13 for 158 yards with a score of 104.0, adding three carries and scoring on a 1-yard sneak with 2:19 remaining in the game.

Tagovailoa suffered the injury in Miami’s loss to the Bison Tickets during week 8, but was able to finish the game before missing out on the Dolphins’ victory over the Houston Texans in week 9.
