Reddit App Install Video Ads Support New Ratios – October 2
Reddit introduced app installation campaigns back in February 2019.
Initially, only supporting a 1.91: 1 landscape ratio for video ads, they later started accepting 16: 9 and 4: 3 formats as well.
Reddit did an upgrade and now not only supports 1: 1 square and 4: 5 vertical videos but mention them as the new recommended ratios. This makes it even easier to test this promising channel.
Below are the full specs for Reddit app install campaigns starting this month.
Facebook tests ads in the Groups tab (limited access) – October 17
The Groups tab is one of the few places where Facebook hasn’t tapped ad placements.
But since Facebook decided to put groups first and improve the user experience (and therefore engagement), why not also monetize this part?
As a result, a few advertisers can now display their Facebook feed ads in the Group feed. The format is the same as for the news feed announcement. So far, only single-image ads appear to be tested, but there is no doubt that if this proves effective, Facebook will expand to video ads as well.
Google Continues A / B Testing On The Google Play Store – October 28
It seems that Google is still experimenting with the way videos and app listings in general are displayed.
After announcing in August that the videos will soon be played automatically, the information has now been removed from the “promotional video” section of the Play Console Help.
More, AppTweak spotted That for some users, the recommended section displays either an animation using landscape screenshots (if applicable landscape screenshots) or the feature graphic (if only portrait screenshots).
Looks like @Google play has been updated today and one of the recommended sections now animates landscape screenshots or uses the feature graphic #aso #mobile app #Google game pic.twitter.com/EWSR4BeHBr
