Nothing Ear 1 headphones have a much lower price in India

Nothing Concept One

Nothing is preparing to launch the true wireless Ear 1 headphones, marking the company’s first product since its inception by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei at the end of last year. The company has previously revealed prices of $ 99, £ 99 and € 99 for the US, UK and Europe respectively. But what about India? Fortunately, Nothing just gave details.

A representative of the company said YouTuber Technical Guruji (h / t: Sudhanshu Ambhore) that the Ear 1 headphones will cost Rs 5,999 (~ $ 81) in India. This is a pretty substantial price drop compared to other regions, with US consumers paying around $ 18 more and UK users paying around $ 57 more.

“This is a special price for India so that we can target a broader customer base,” Manu Sharma, vice president and general manager of Nothing India, told YouTuber in an interview.

There was no previous confirmation that the new headphones will have three microphones and active noise cancellation, although there is no official word on other details (e.g. IP rating, Bluetooth codecs, battery life).

The company is also expected to offer a transparent design similar to its conceptual headphones, but we’ll probably have to wait until the July 27 launch date for an official earphone preview.
