Hello, ciao. You are here because you love football and England or Italy. Or both. Or neither.
I am Faras Ghani (@farasG) and I will bring you the greatest soccer game today (Argentina beats Brazil in the previous larger this morning) with Maria Michela D’Alessandro (@MMichiDale) in a Rome fanzone and Maira Watanbe outside Wembley Stadium in London.
Impossible to walk around Wembley
Our correspondent Maira walks past Wembley Stadium. And she sends us this update:
“There are lots of people coming to the stadium, screaming, singing, people are really very happy and it’s almost impossible to walk around. Heaps of garbage already on the floor and people falling on broken glasses, a little dangerous.
She also spotted Italian fans!

Home or Rome?
What started on June 11 ends tonight: Italy faces England at Wembley Stadium in London in the 2020 European Championship final.
England are hopeful that a partisan home crowd will help them lift a first major trophy since winning the 1966 World Cup at former Wembley.
Italy haven’t won the Euro since 1968, but the Azzurri are on a 33-game unbeaten streak since September 2018 and have never lost to England in a major event.
