Climate change: craft brewery uses algae to reduce emissions

[ad_1]

The fermentation of beer produces carbon dioxide (CO2), which is usually released into the atmosphere. So a Sydney craft brewery, Young Henrys, has teamed up with climate change scientists and developed a way to use microalgae to capture that CO2 and turn it into oxygen.

Brewers estimate that their algae release as much oxygen as two hectares of bush.
